Phoenix Comic Con Wonder Woman

Sunday at the Phoenix Comic Con was so slow I had time to do a couple of pretty tight "sketches". One was the Batgirl/Batmite which I have previously posted, the other is this Wonder Woman piece. The interesting thing about this one for me, is that I added colored pencil tinting over the top of what was previously a gray marker piece. The effect is almost like color tinting a black and white photograph. Unfortunately this scan (and subsequent color adjustments) fails to accurately represent the subtle grays in the original. I have never really done this before but I think it has a very interesting look to it. The grays underneath the colored pencil give the piece an overall cooling effect.
